How To Take Amazing Photos with Your Special Someone

There’s something so fun and magical about capturing moments with your partner. When a couple is happy and in love, you don’t need any special formula to create beautiful photos as their feelings will shine through, but if you do want to try something different and really make your photos unique, here are a few photo ideas:

Make the location special

As a couple, it’s very likely that you have a location or spot that’s unique and special to you. This could be the park bench where you shared your first kiss or the theme park where you had your first date. If possible, arrange for your photos to be taken at this location as it will bring back fond memories for you both, giving your photos that authentic look and feel.

Work with the time of day

The Golden Hour is the best time to take photos so why not use the fact that the light will be soft to choose the ideal location for your shoot. If you’re choosing to take photos just before sunset, why not take a few photos next to a cozy fire or next to a lake. Opting for an earlier shoot? A beautiful field that will light up just before the sun rises would make for amazing photos.

Make it a colourful experience

Choosing a colour as your theme makes for really unique couple shots. This doesn’t mean that you need to wear coordinating outfits and sit in front of a backdrop. By simply adding a few pops of colour to your photos, you can create some incredibly fun snaps. A tie, dress or flowers are just a few of the items that you could use to do this.

Add a few props to the mix

A few simple props can make all the difference to your photos. You don’t need to go overboard either, a fun red bicycle, a bunch of balloons or a cute umbrella would all add a simple yet unique touch to your photos.

Once you chat with your photographer about what you have in mind for your photos, they will easily be able to guide you during the session so you can capture some special moments between you and your partner that you will always cherish.
