2017 is going to be a good year, I can feel it! So I have decided to do some good for others as well. In the next 12 months I have set myself a fundraising target of £1,000 for the mental health charity SANE. Sane was set up in the 1986 to improve the quality of life for people with mental illness. Their aims are to reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness, to provide care and support to sufferers and their families, and to initiate research into the causes and treatment of mental health conditions such as depression and schizophrenia.

So why have I chosen SANE?

Some of you may know that my sister-in-law, Helen, took her own life in 2012, following a 14 year battle with depression. It has obviously been a very difficult time and has had a profound effect on the family. It seems right to pick a charity that supports people with depression, funds research into cause and treatment, and raises awareness of mental health conditions.My pledge to SANE:

For every portrait shoot booked, or portrait shoot gift voucher purchased, between 1 Dec 2016 and 30 Nov 2017 I will donate £10.
For every full day wedding booking taken between 1 Dec 2016 and 30 Nov 2017 I will donate £100.
