What is a wedding favour and do I need them at my wedding?
A wedding favour is a small gift given to each guest as athank you for attending your wedding. Itis totally up to you (and your budget) whether you provide them or not.
Wedding Favour Ideas
I am very much a DIY sort of girl. I love doing anything craft related, so Ichoose to make my own key ring favours. This was pretty time consuming, but enjoyable for me. I knitted tiny bags ‘full of joy’ for theladies and stitched material ties for the guys, as a thank you for attendingwhile we ‘tied the knot.’
Of course Pinterest is FULL of ideas for planning weddings, and if you search for wedding favours, you'll get lots of ideas.
If DIY isn’t up your street, you can go on Etsy, or Not On the High Street, to find crafters who can make items for you.
Favours don’t have to be material items, they can be edibleor drinkable! Miniature bottles of alcohol always go down well, or personalisedsweets or love hearts are an option.
For something healthy but ‘green’ small succulents could beyour thing, or wild flower seeds for bee-loving plants to grow with yourrelationship.
You could use your favour as a way of supporting yourfavourite charity by purchasing a pin or other item, where the proceeds of thepurchase help raise both funds, and awareness.
Whatever you decide, remember to work within your budget and time constraints. Keep it small and personal to you and your guests.
