Wedding at Fernie Castle
Weddings are about two people who are making the commitment to spend their lives together. As a wedding photographer I capture moments during the day, of the ceremony, candid shots of friends laughing, or an emotional moment of a father seeing his daughter in her wedding dress. I also like to capture the details of the day. This could be small things that have been planned, like the "Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue" items, or table decorations that have been made specially for the day, down to the venue itself. Here are a selection of images from the wedding I shot on Saturday at Fernie Castle, Fife.
The bride had a lovely winter themed bouquet with roses and Scottish thistles.
Fernie Castle's bridal suite has these fabulous wardrobes, perfect for hanging the dress on!
The String Quartet gave the post ceremony reception an elegant feel.
The thistle theme from the bride's bouquet was continued in the buttonhole for the groom.
Fernie Castle Hotel is something of a fairytale Scottish Castle, but with a warm intimate feel.
It's always nice to capture the bride's shoes, as they are not always seen during the day!
The ceremony room at Fernie Castle Hotel has a medieval feel, perfect for a Scottish Castle.
