Happy New Year — EBM Photography

New start to 2015, new start to photography project.Today's photo is of my sister-in-law's rack of interesting items. I don't know why she chose the things she did, but perhaps they spark memories for her. It has inspired me to write a poem though.

Memories2014 is now just a memoryWas it a friend or a more of an enemy?So much has happened in the course of a yearMemories to lose and those that are dear.Friends and family and meetings galoreParties and games, who would want more?Weddings, new jobs, new starts all aboutNew homes and new places where roots may then sproutIllness and stress that get in the wayOf happiness that should surround you each day.Let go of the dross and keep all the goodLight a fire, use the bad memories as wood.2014 had good days and badThings made me laugh and made me so mad.Sunshine and showers, cold frost or some fogIt all appears there, combined in my blog!Memories surround us, both near and so farSome that are happy and some less than par.The memories we make, year after yearAre stored to be accessed when in need of some cheer.To family and friends I wish happiness and healthBe surround by love and maybe some wealth.As forward into the future we peerI just want to say have a Happy New Year!
